Hi.
It has struck me that many of my posts here are inwardly focused. Too many in a row, anyway.
What’s happening with ME. Here’s MY show. Why I feel good/bad. Please think of ME as an artist. Another show.
The nerve of this guy!
Sure, there is some value in sharing the vulnerability of personal change (my story helps you, right?), but wowzers, I think this has gotten a little one-sided.
So, inspired by Ted Gioia’s recent post—simply asking his readers what they’re doing—I ask you:
What are YOU loving right now?
Tell me in the comments. I’m excited to see what pops up.
A few of mine, just to prime the pump (is that still a phrase?)…
I love that I found a dentist who doesn’t decimate my gums with floss
I love Nate Bargatze’s new book that reads exactly like he sounds
I love my kids at their ages right now (14 / 12 / 9)
I love Andor, the Star Wars prequel series. I’ve watched both seasons 3 times and am gearing up for another round this summer
And I still love the feeling of running and jumping on the back of the shopping cart in the Ralph’s parking lot, ignoring the glares from rule-following moms
How about you?
As always, thank you for keeping up with me, inward focus and all — hope you have a great weekend.
A few updates:
I’m performing in Ron Hart’s backyard storytelling show (Sat, 6/28). Let me know if you’d like to come.
I built a website featuring a calendar of upcoming storytelling events in Los Angeles.
Westside Story Club show #3 tickets on sale, though it’s a few months out (Sun, 7/21)
