I've asked some of my Comp Sci and Science teacher friends the following question. Are we closer to Wall-E or The Terminator? Personally, neither is particularly desirable.

She took the words right out of my mouth. I don’t know why we’re accelerating to this dubious future. I’m a huge fan of science fiction and dystopian novels and these robots are too on the nose for me. Not. Today!
